Rik Aby is an accomplished film, voice-over and commercial actor, appearing in hundreds of short and feature length films, television children’s programming and dozens of international commercials, both for television and radio.  He is fluent in Arabic and English and performs easily in both languages.  Rik got his first professional job while in the 4th grade, participating in the opera rendition of Hansel and Gretel”, directed by Lady Helen Chamberlain at the Le Meriden Versailles ballroom.  Rik Aby studied film drama at the American University of Sharjah, where he participated in hundreds of films as an actor, director and producer. After university, Rik Aby worked as an assistant director and producer at Abu Dhabi TV and expanded his career into the world of stand-up comedy, performing with Aaron Kader (from The Axis of Evil fame).  Rik Aby continued to work on his craft with the talented Tony Tassa (Meisner School) and the Academy Award nominated director Scandar Copti (Ajami).   

Recently, Rik has been featured on Arabs Got Talent, Justice (first courtroom drama developed for TV in the UAE) and won a Best Acting Enable prize for the short film Try to Keep Calm. You can also see him host the television show Tectonic, produced for FOX TV and Starwood, as well as in commercials for international brands such as Pizza Hut, Chevy and Volkswagen.    

Currently, Rik is working on writing, producing and starring in his own television series as well as guest staring on additional television projects and feature films. Rik is determined to be an international multi-cultural entertainer, bridging the gaps that separate people through telling essential stories that are guaranteed to be shared.
